Marga Molina, a distinguished dancer and choreographer originally from Madrid, has made a significant impact in the world of dance while based in the vibrant cultural hub of Ibiza for many years.
From the tender age of nine, Marga embarked on her dance journey at the prestigious conservatory of Madrid. Her passion and dedication led her to train under some of Madrid's most renowned teachers, including Mercedes and Albano (daughter of La Quica), Maria Magdalena, Granero, Pedro Azorin, Ciro, Carmela Greco, La Tati, Antonio Gades, and others.
At 15, Marga caught the attention of the legendary Antonio el Bailarín, then the director of the National Ballet of Spain. Despite being selected to join this esteemed company, she prioritized completing her high school education, following her father's wishes.
Marga's illustrious career saw her performing with eminent dance companies such as Antonio del Castillo, Ballet de María Rosa, Lucía Real y el Camborio, and Compañia de Carmela Greco. She has shared the stage with icons like Joaquin Cortes, Antonio Canales, Carmela Greco, José Greco, and Lola Greco.
Her global footprint includes performances in renowned theaters worldwide, such as the "Arena de Verona" in the Opera Carmen (by Bizet) and esteemed tablaos in Madrid like the corral de la pacheca, café de chinitas, and the corral de la moreria.
Marga's entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish her own dance company, taking her art to international audiences, including Japan. Her television appearances are noteworthy, performing alongside celebrated artists like Roció Jurado and with Maria Rosa's dance company on the show "Entre amigos," hosted by Jose Luis Moreno. She also graced the "Fantastic Program" presented by Jose Maria Iñigo with Antonio del Castillo's company.
Embracing motherhood, Marga settled in Ibiza, where she continues to inspire as a teacher at Centro de Danza. She performs across the island for various municipalities and institutions with her company. Her collaborations include choreographing for the symphony Ciutat d'Eivissa and performing in the Adlib fashion (Ibiza) and at the island's film festival.
Marga shone as the star of the Mercedes Benz calendar campaign in November with her company and collaborated with theater director Antonio Cantos in "Bodas de Sangre" at the Can Ventosa theater in Ibiza.
Her contributions to Ibiza's cultural scene are immense, including collaborations with renowned DJs like DJ Pippi in the video clip "PALA (FATAL FATAL)" and working with diverse artists such as Mike Oldfield, Antonio Carmona (Ketama), and Rocío Jurado. Marga Molina, affectionately known as "La Molina," remains a pivotal figure in the dance world, continuously evolving and inspiring through her art.
